Self publishing, as it is more politely called, has a negative impact only on the traditional, stuffy, exclusive way of doing business. Which is no bad thing, right? Do remember, if your book is commercially successful in digital format, it could also be successful in classic print format – and then you can command a better royalty when they come to you.
